Healthy LifeThe Healthy Lifestyle Course (HLTH1010) is a compulsory, one-year course for undergraduates to learn how to maintain a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle that will help them to effectively manage their life, learning and work. As part of celebrating Dalhousie University’s 200th anniversary, a cross-faculty team from the university will host this collaborative conference on health research, practice and community innovations. The Healthy Living, Healthy Life Conference will be held at the Nova Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia from September 19-21, 2018.

When it comes to healthy eating, there is an overwhelming array of theories, diet books and online information about what to eat – which is often conflicting. Although the research is still ongoing and developing, what the experts all agree on is that our diets are too high in sugar, our portions are too big and we should eat a variety of whole natural foods.
